Ok, to say that this week was a rough one for the Phillies would be putting it nicely. The Phils lost five of six games over the past week and dropped all the way to third place in the National League East in the process. However, things look a little better already this week, as the Phillies defeated the Boston Red Sox. At least this week is off to a better start. Last week, there weren't many choices for Phillie of the Week, but one player did enough to get noticed. This week's Phillie of the Week is:
Ryan Howard
In a week where the offense was stone cold, Howard at least put up a decent effort. He hit .304 with a home run and six RBI. Hopefully, next Sunday will have a better Phillie of the Week.
