Phillie of the Week: May 2-8

Ok, so this is a little late this week, but the Phillies had a nice bounce back week after ending April on a slow note. The Phils went 5-2 against the Mets, Cardinals and Braves, and almost everyone put in a great effort. However, one player made history, and he deserves to be recognized. This week's Phillie of the Week is:

Jamie Moyer

At age 47, Moyer became the oldest pitcher to ever throw a complete game shutout, defeating the Atlanta Braves 7-0 on Friday night. Throw that in with a win over Johan Santana and the Mets on Sunday, and you have one good week. Moyer won both his starts and had a 3.00 ERA with no walks and seven strikeouts. Well done, old man.
