The Phillies tailed off at the end of this past week, but before their back to back losses to the Nationals, they were on a tear, winning eight games in a row to get to within three and a half games of the Atlanta Braves. While most of the players had stepped it up this past week, one was able to raise his game even further. This week's Phillie of the Week is:
Raul Ibanez
Welcome back, Raul. While Ibanez was hot for most of July, he did even better this past week, hitting .435 with two home runs and five RBI to go along with six walks and five runs scored. Now, he needs to keep that up.
