The Phillies continued their late season surge this week, going 4-3 and reaching first place in the National League East for the first time since the end of May. The offense has started to turn things around in a big way, and there's one man leading the charge. This week's Phillie of the Week is:
Ryan Howard
How do you know it's September? Ryan Howard starts killing the ball. In seven games this week, Howard hit .321 with three home runs and 10 RBI. He also scored seven runs to go along with that. It's good to see Howard hitting again, and it looks like he's left all traces of his injury behind.
